It also means the transition into your ceremony feels seamless rather than the music suddenly beginning when it is time to walk down the aisle.

Your ceremony contains some of the most personal musical moments of the entire day.
Typically, couples choose music for their entrance, the signing of the register and their exit as newlyweds.  You do not have to choose traditional wedding music either.
Some of my favourite ceremony choices have been songs that you might never immediately associate with a wedding.  Played as a fingerstyle acoustic guitar arrangement, a favourite pop, rock or alternative song can take on a completely different character.  The most important thing is that the music feels like you.

Your Walk Down the Aisle
Your entrance deserves a special mention because it is often the piece couples spend the longest choosing.  Some people know their aisle song immediately. Others have absolutely no idea where to begin.  Both are completely normal.  Think about songs that have meaning to you rather than simply searching for the most popular wedding songs.  A piece that reminds you of a particular time, artist or memory can make the moment much more personal.

Once the ceremony is finished, the atmosphere changes.
The nerves disappear, drinks are served and everyone begins to relax.

Live acoustic guitar can work wonderfully outside.
I use a portable battery powered setup, which gives me the flexibility to perform in spaces where access to electricity might otherwise be difficult.
If a venue has restrictions on amplified music, playing completely unplugged may also be possible depending on the space and number of guests.
It means your wedding music does not necessarily have to be tied to one corner of your venue.

Can they adapt if timings change?
